Ask whether a permit will be given .This is a must for resale purposes.

Ask if there are any hidden extra's in price,(as many quotes aren't what they seem in final payments)

Ask if treated pine cleats are an extra or included in price

Ask to see examples of work

Ask for references and contact at least one to confirm

Ask who will actually be re stumping or underpinning your house – will the be at least one fully qualified tradesperson onsite at all times?
